Book Study

When you begin to focus on gratitude, very simple, everyday things become miracles to you. You begin to realize how precious even the small and ordinary things are and feel grateful for them. You begin to stop sweating the small stuff and appreciating things more.

One of those things is the Earth itself. Do you realize that it is perfect harmony and so balanced that it supports and sustains us? The Earth is designed to support and sustain us — to keep us alive. This is not an accident and it is something for which to be grateful.

Oxygen, the air we breathe, is in perfect mixture, perfect balance, so that we can live.

A sunset, a drop of dew on the grass, a rainy sky, a mountain, all these things and the air surrounding them all that is in perfect balance, is something for which we can all be grateful.

When we realize what a precious gift the very air we breathe really is, we have reached a deep appreciation, the deepest appreciation of life.

The Magic – Day 23

The Magical Air That You Breathe

  1. Count Your Blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Re-read your list, and say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel gratitude for each one.
  2. Five times today, stop and think about the glorious air that you breathe. Take five deliberate breaths, and feel the feeling of the air moving inside your body, and feel thejoyof breathing it out.
  3. After you have taken the five breaths, say the magic words: Thank you for the magical air that I breathe. Be as grateful as you can for the precious,life-giving air that you breathe.
  4. Just before you go to sleep tonight, hold your Magic Rock in one hand, and say the magic word, thank you,  for the best thing that happened during the day.

This practice is how you change hope and wished-for “luck” into certainty!
